Gate 38 sits in the Root Center, the pressure center of the chart, and is considered in the system the gate of fighting spirit. The pressure that arises here pushes against resistance — but not indiscriminately: this is about struggling for something worth the effort. The I Ching hexagram “Opposition” describes the productive side of friction: where positions collide, it becomes visible what someone truly stands for. In this logic, resistance is not a misfortune but a touchstone.
