Which planet is in which gate right now — and which of your channels does the sky close?
The planets move through the 64 gates of the Human Design wheel all the time. Wherever a planet stands, that gate is activated for everyone — for a few hours (Moon), a few days (Sun) or years (Pluto). It gets interesting when a planet occupies the partner gate of one of your gates: then your channel is complete for that time.

A transit is the moving sky: at every moment the Sun, Moon and planets each stand in one of the 64 gates. The wheel above shows this exactly as Human Design calculates it — Gate 41 begins at 2° Aquarius, each gate spans 5°37′30″, counter-clockwise as in astrology, and the Earth always stands opposite the Sun.
The same gate means something different depending on who activates it. The Moon only brushes a gate for a few hours — a colour of the day. The Sun stays for a good five days and sets the core theme of those days. Jupiter, Saturn and the lunar nodes shape months; Uranus, Neptune and Pluto shape whole chapters of life — and when they move back and forth in retrograde loops, that becomes one phase in several passes. That is why this page always says “planet → gate”, never just “gate active”.
