Channel 2–14 — Life Direction
Some people don’t always know where the journey is headed — but they sense very precisely whether they are on their path right now or not. And when they are, doors seem to open almost by themselves. In Human Design, Channel 2–14 describes exactly this interplay of direction and driving force.

What This Channel Connects
The G Center stands for identity and life direction, the Sacral Center for reliable working and living energy. Channel 2–14 couples the two: the direction that Gate 2 receives gets its fuel through Gate 14, so the path can actually be walked. In the system it counts as an individual channel — the direction is not the family’s or the environment’s, but entirely your own. It is often described with the image of a key: energy and course fit together like key and lock.
How It Shows Up
People with a defined Channel 2–14 often find that their energy positively blossoms as soon as they work on something that feels right — and turns sluggish when they are merely functioning. Material and immaterial resources tend to accumulate around them when they follow their track; they are often the ones whose projects “just run.” The challenge: your own direction is hard to explain and even harder to force. Those who try to set the course purely rationally easily lose contact with the inner compass. What helps more is trust in the responses of your own body and in life’s timing. With this channel open, you are not directionless here — you experience direction more flexibly and learn a great deal from people who clearly live their track.
Electromagnetic
If one person brings Gate 2 and the other Gate 14, an electromagnetic connection arises between them: together they form the whole channel, and precisely this complement attracts. One senses where things could go, the other brings the power and the means to walk the path. In partnerships this can feel like finally having a tailwind — provided both respect that neither owns “the whole thing” alone.
